MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION (CLIMBING)
Region: LADAKH, ZANSKAR, SPITI, GARHWAL & SIKKIM
The Ladakh range has numerous peaks which have been successfully climbing while there are others which are still to be attempted. At Adventure Travel Mark we ensure that your expedition is a success by providing you with expert mountain guides and porters. Prior permission has to be obtained from the Indian Mountaineering Delhi which is located in New Delhi. They charge a fee for each peak according to their policies.
While Ladakh has numerous peaks the Zanskar peaks are higher. In neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, Spiti has a number of peaks including over 16 peaks in the CB (Chandra Bhaga) range at heights ranging from 5500m to 6600m. The Garhwal Himalayas has the second highest peak in India the 7800m high Nanda Devi. Here also tower the Bhagirathi, Chaukhamba and Gangotri range of peaks and the famous Banderpunch all ranging from 6300 to 7200m. Sikkim is home to numerous peaks including Mount Siniolchu which veteran mountaineers consider the most beautiful peak in the world. From Sikkim easy access is also provided to the towering Kanchenjunga the third highest peak in the world at 8586m.
Adventure Travel Mark provides experience porters and guides besides support camp staff at each stage of the expedition. We also arrange the necessary permission required to climbing a particular peak with the Indian Mountaineering Foundation in Delhi. For this we would require a detailed list of expedition members the name of the particular peak they desire to attempt, the month in which they want to start the expedition. All these details are required at least 4 months in advance for processing by the IMF. The IMF charges different fees for different peaks and provides a liaison officer who will accompany the climbing group to see that all goes according to schedule. In any case our staff will make sure that all arrangements are according to your particular requirements to make your expedition a success.
